As I venture into my new-found lifestyle, I found my blog to be the perfect platform to not only showcase beautiful flowers, bushes, and trees, but also spotlight the wonderful herbs, fruits, and vegetables that are readily at our fingertips, and share recipes we can use as we grow our gardens. This is a new adventure for me–not only in my eating lifestyle, but also in vegetable gardening, so bear with me as I “grow” along with you.
Sweet Woodruff (Galium odoratum) is a perfect groundcover for shady spots near trees or hedgebanks with dainty white flowers in the spring to early summer. It is a natural insect repellent making it the perfect companion for herb gardens, roses and peonies.
The name bluebonnet came about because the blossoms resemble the bonnets of pioneer women. Bluebonnets are also known by the name buffalo clover, wolf flower and Texas lupine.
